Karelia Scott-Daniels

Karelia Scott has been a Liberal Democrat for 16 years and has been a member of the Liberal Democrats for about a decade. She now has her own business running a Property Search and Relocation business and regularly attends business meetings in the Bexleyheath area. She is on the committee of the Central London Branch of the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall and is also a member of the Federation of Small Businesses.

Karelia is particularly interested in business and economic issues in addition to fair but sustainable taxation strategies which will assist businesses large and small to lead the economic recovery and maintain inward foreign investment and protect London's position as a world-class economic centre.

Karelia was educated at Ayr Grammar School in south-west Scotland and at The Mount School, a Quaker school in York. She attended the University of the West of England in Bristol graduating with a Bachelor of Laws with French and Spanish. As a child she travelled with her family to Brunei, Australia and the United States of America but she is a confirmed Europhile. Her year spent at Strasbourg confirmed her love of France and ignited her interest in politics.

Since leaving university she has worked in London in a variety of jobs including six successful years in media advertising, first with Zenith Optimedia and latterly with MPG. She managed many high profile accounts including Hyundai, BHS and Kraft Foods.

Karelia currently lives in Hackney with her husband Simon but will move to Bexleyheath within 6 months, if elected.
