Local councillor Nick O'Hare - selected by the Lib Dems to become Old Bexley & Sidcup MP

Local Councillor Nick O'Hare has been selected as the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate on behalf of the Liberal Democrats for the constituency of Old Bexley and Sidcup.

Nick is a leading figure in the Greek community, is married to Maria and has two daughters. He runs his own local hairdressing business. He stood in the neighbouring Bexleyheath & Crayford seat at the last General Election. He has represented East Wickham ward since 1998.

Nick said: " I am delighted to be chosen to fight the Old Bexley& Sidcup seat. The local Lib Dems are on the up and the next General Election will be an excellent opportunity to put the constituency on the Liberal Democrat map. In the June elections Labour came fourth here. For far too long the Tories have considered the area their own- but with our key messages on pensions, crime and education the Liberal Democrats can leap frog the Tories as the Labour vote collapses."
