Duncan Borrowman has campaigned for years to protect services at Queen Mary's Sidcup, where both his daughters were born
Old Bexley and Sidcup Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate Duncan Borrowman is demanding answers as to whether further cuts are planned to services at Queen Mary's, Sidcup.
Duncan Borrowman says: "The 'On the Brink" report by the British Medical Association highlights plans for further closures at hospitals in the trust covering hospitals in Bexley and Bromley".
A September finance report of the hospitals trust says:
"we need to decide where specialties will move/consolidate on single sites. There must be acceleration of the project to "right-size" the Trust".
Dunca Borrowman added: "It was always clear that the closure of the A&E and Maternity at Queen Mary's was just a first step to further closures.
"The NHS and local residents who depend on Queen Mary's have been badly let down by Labour. When they came into government in 1997 they promised to 'Save the NHS', now it is on the sick bed, barely surviving after 13 yearsof Labour government."
