The Mayor should take immediate steps to ensure that Metropolitan Police officers who are convicted of violence or dishonesty are kicked out of the force says Dee Doocey, the Liberal Democrat London Assembly police spokesperson and a member of the Metropolitan Police Authority.

Boris Johnson at today's London Assembly debate on the Mayor's draft consolidated budget agreed to carefully examine proposals put forward by the Liberal Democrat London Assembly Group on tackling fare evasion and the introduction of a one hour ticket for bus use.

Pensioners and eligible disabled people in London were today hit by a double whammy as the Mayor of London Boris Johnson revealed that not only would their 24 hour Freedom Pass not be able to be used on Network Rail trains before 9.30am, despite this being a key election promise, but that the London Boroughs face paying out millions of pounds to fund Mayor Boris Johnson's' 24 hour commitment.
